Greetings from sunny Dublin, Ireland! I hope you are all well. I did a lot of recording, mixing and mastering work recently to get a new album recorded. As a Tír Enda member and Live stream watcher you already heard early versions of some of these songs. 

The name comes from the fact that I wrote a piece called The Mystery based around an interesting chord progression. Then I stumbled upon perhaps the first poem ever written not only in Ireland, but in Europe and it is also called The Mystery. It links in with the Milesian invasion of Ireland, with this poem recited by Amergin as a way to stop the storms created by the Fairies or The Tuatha De Danann. This translation is by our first president, Douglas Hyde (Dubhghlas De Híde) and it's the opening piece on the album. You should be able to listen to it below!

The Mystery
I am the wind which breathes upon the sea,
I am the wave of the ocean,
I am the murmur of the billows,
I am the ox of the seven combats,
I am the vulture upon the rocks,
I am the beam of the sun,
I am the fairest of plants,
I am a wild boar in valour,
I am a salmon in the water,
I am a lake in the plain,
I am a word of science,
I am the point of the lance of battle,
I am the God who created in the head the fire.
Who is it who throws light into the meeting on the mountain?
Who announces the ages of the moon?
Who teaches the place where couches the sun?

So the album begins and ends with a Mystery. You'll be hearing more about this in future most definitely. For now let me know what you think of the album cover. It's a picture of a dry stone wall from Inishbofin Island on the west coast and I feel it evokes the Mystery well.
